Editorial policy
Rising Sports Journal aims to make sports knowledge clear, careful and useful. We distinguish explanation from opinion and take responsibility for correcting the record when our work falls short.
Accuracy and context
We check claims against appropriate information available to us, explain the context that changes their meaning and avoid presenting a general description as a rule that applies everywhere. Where rules or conventions can differ between sports, competitions or governing bodies, we identify that variation rather than treating one version as universal. We do not claim testing, access or expertise we do not have.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. If a partner has a connection to a subject, we disclose it clearly. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page; we review substantiated concerns and amend errors with an appropriate note when warranted.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly wherever it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, the image is labelled accordingly. Illustrations are not evidence that a pictured event or scene actually occurred.
Understanding sport starts with noticing
Scores tell us what happened; the rules, choices and traditions help explain how. We make room for those details, whether you play, watch or are simply curious.
